Coaching Minimal Qualifications for New Police Candidates:

Age Requirement:
Must be at least 21 years of age. -
Citizenship:
Must be a United States citizen. (Depending On State) -
Education:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED. -
Driverā€™s License & Moving Violations:
Must possess a valid driverā€™s license with a clean driving record. No more than two moving violations in the last 3 years, and no DUI/DWI convictions within the last 5 years. -
Substance Use History:
No marijuana use within the last 12 months. No use of major illegal substances (e.g., cocaine, methamphetamines, heroin) within the last 5 years, and no use of major substances more than 5 times in your lifetime. -
Criminal History:
No felony convictions, no convictions for domestic violence, and no arrests within the last 10 years for any misdemeanor involving moral turpitude (e.g., theft, fraud, assault). -
Financial History & Credit Score:
Must have a credit score of 620 or above, no history of bankruptcy in the last 5 years, and no excessive debt or financial irresponsibility that could compromise integrity. -
Military Service (if applicable):
If you are a veteran, must have an honorable discharge or a discharge under honorable conditions.
